Look Like Jesus

20 12 2015

It is with great sadness the Martin family must report that Casandra passed away peacefully on December 19, 2015 after a long struggle with health issues. She was an awesome wife, loving mother, and a caring daughter and sister. But above all of these, she belonged to Jesus. She wove His name into every fiber of her life and demonstrated to everyone how to do the same. Although we are heartbroken, we rejoice that Casandra is now face to face with Jesus.

If you met her or read any of her books or blogs, you have probably come across her favorite phrase, “Look Like Jesus”. She dedicated her life to living and teaching these simple three words and inspired people all over the world to resolve to live for Him. These three words were her last to her husband and children. This blog, along with her study books, was her way to help others to seek and see Jesus in their everyday lives.

Anyone wishing to make a memorial gift in her name may donate to one the charitable organizations listed below. Casandra worked with both of these – they had a special place in her heart.

This is the final post for this blog. The blog itself will remain here to continue to inspire others to Look Like Jesus.

It is our desire that your Jesus Resolution be to live your life so that others see Jesus.

Another soldier – gone to be with the Lord. I will miss Sis. Martin and her blog. I am a stronger, wiser Christian because of her writings. May the Lord bless her family, and may her legacy live on.

I am so sorry to hear about Casandra’s death. I loved her inspirational comments and used them often in my Bible Study lessons because she could relate everyday life to things of God. She will long be remembered for making a difference in the lives of others. My prayers to her family for peace and strength for the days ahead. God bless you.

God bless you all as you take one step at a time with, The Lord in the lead. I too had only found out about Cassandra’s writings in the last year or so. I’ve loved being her student. To read her description of something ordinary or “everydayish” and then she how she opened it up to eternal thoughts, was great food for the soul. Thank you for keeping her thoughts out here for us.

I have studied many of her books and was blessed to meet her and hear her speak at a Ladies’ Day at Walnut Street Church of Christ in Dickson, Tennessee. I like how she uses the word “transform” in so many of her lessons … we should seek to be transformed to be more like Jesus each day. I am thankful for her work for the Lord. She is gone, but certainly NOT forgotten. The heavenly reunion will be GRAND! 😊❤️

I must say I am heart broken about the news of her passing, but am honored to have attended several of her speaking engagements. She truly looked like Jesus. I look forward to sitting at her feet along side her mentor Jesus Christ. I am thankful she is now out of pain and can dance with the Angels in heaven with no pain or trouble. May God bless you all and thanks for sharing your wife and mother with us.

Dear Martin family, I never actually met Cassandra personally, but I was given her name and her blog by the wife of our minister while I was still a flight attendant for Continental Airlines, & I was having to miss quite a bit of Sunday services. I always looked forward to her blog each day, and was always inspired by her to the utmost. I’m sure that I and many others will continue to remember her sweetness and the way that she always looked for Jesus in everything. God bless you all as you begin your journey without her physical presence, knowing she lives on not only in Heaven but in our hearts and minds as well. The Martin family will be in our prayers.

What a privilege to know Casandra and to have studied from her books, listened to her speak at our ladies retreats here in Connecticut, and read her posts of wisdom. Her Godly insight is one that has affected so many people and she has touched my heart more than you know. Thank you for sharing her with all of us. Our prayers go out to each of you as you endure this difficult time. May God bless you all.

It’s hard to describe Casandra except to say that she did “look like Jesus”. I believe that’s hard to describe because there are so few of us that really do fit that description. But Casandra would go to any length to look like Jesus. She had a faith that I will continue to pray for. Because of how Jesus used her in my life, I am a different person today than I was before she taught me. Very different. She was a gift to me and I will miss her until we meet again. But, I will try to remember her teachings, I will continue to read what she left behind and I will strive to “look like Jesus”. To Ken, Emily, Ryan and Jonathan, I am so sorry…

Casandra,
You made so many lives a little easier, by allowing us to see Jesus through your eyes. You have the eyes of the Father and have blessed us abundantly by imparting His words with such care, reverence, and earthly understanding. There are few who possess the gift of bringing the pages of God’s Word to life. So much so, they jump off the pages and directly into our hearts and daily lives. Thank for sharing your most humble heart with those of us who may know the Word, but forever needed your gentle reminders of who we are and Who He is. Thank you Casandra Martin and family for the gift.

Casandra, your legacy will forever live on in the lives of many people through the books you have written that have touch so many lives to moved many to “look like Jesus”. Your words are mirrors into the soul to reflect who we really are as we meet the Lord in transforming our lives to a higher calling in him.Thank you for showing me how to truly develop and experience God’s presence in my life. And to build stronger a living stone faith. Thanks you Lord for giving us Casandra and her gift of writing.

Casandra spoke at three of our ladies retreat. I
felt honored to have had the privilege of hearing her teach. She was such a down to earth person who you could tell loved her Lord and Master. She had such a passion for her work. I have most of her books as we taught from them in our ladies Bible class.
I know we will all miss her so much but she has finished her work here on earth. She is and now with her Jesus.

There are no words to express the sadness I felt upon hearing of Casandra’s passing. Her WOW series have inspired me to look more like Jesus every day. I am eternally grateful for her gift and the way she shared it with us all. Through my tears I am smiling because I know she is now right where she always wanted to be…at the feet of her master. Casandra, save a place for me!

Casandra shared God’s word through her study books and her speaking engagements and I was privileged to learn from her in both ways. She shared with our Ladies class on more than one occasion and I was able to share some of her thoughts with other ladies I have met overseas over the last few years. I am so glad I met her. She left us all with such good memories. I will be in prayer for her entire family as they deal with her loss on this earth and yet look forward to a great reunion in Heaven one day. – Denise Thompson

This really saddens me. She was such an inspiration to me. She spoke at our first Womens 2 Women’s conference. We use her books in our bible study.
I buy her material through 21st century publishing for my own personal study.
My heartfelt sympathy to the family. She is in the loving arms of God.

Words cannot speak the love and respect I will always have for Cassandra as her spiritual reflection lives on. Nothing can stop her teachings, Jesus’ truths, from soaring throughout creation for all of eternity. Learning only yesterday of her passing of almost a year ago matters not to this heart that is scanning memories and writings to be near her again. Whether you knew her in person or as a voice on a page, she shared her heart of devotion to and love of her God and Savior with all who came her way. To her biggest fan, Ken, and her adored children, Emily, Ryan, and Johnathan, you have my prayers.

I am happy to see that I can listen to Casandra speaking through audio lessons she did. What a blessing to have those. Would you know if one of the lessons is her lesson about the woman at the well? That is one I heard years ago at a Ladies Day and would love to hear again. The titles listed have not given me a clue as to that topic.

There are at least two of these that are the Woman at the Well talk — “GO-You Have a Story to Tell” and “Obstacles to Holiness”

Thank you for the feedback. Please share this site with those who wished to be encouraged to look like Jesus.
